Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to do my wheel bearings as they're starting to howl despite having no play. Since they're a fairly cheap part, I might as well do all of em at once. Am curious as to whether anyone has opinions or rather facts on the quality of the bearing manufacturers: ***, NTN or SKF. All are OEM suppliers. All have been around for over 100 years and all are well known. Are there any design differences that would make one more durable than the other?

POST 2Original post

Do a google search. There was an owner of a bearing company who swapped his bearings into a new GTR and it was significantly faster in the 1/4 mile. It might be worth looking into.

Sounds like a pretty biased review to me! Anyways, I replaced two of my wheel bearings so far - timkin and *** (I think). Initial fit for both of them was perfect and they've been great. I know I won't know about longevity for another 50k miles - but for now they all seem the same.
