Now that it's getting colder, 1st and 2nd are playing up and the colder they are the more they play up. Once the engine gets warm everything shifts fine. As long as I can remember 1st has been a little stiff when it's cold, but now it has developed to where it just won't go into gear unless I back off the clutch a bit (maybe 3-4" from the floor (foot travel)). Now 2nd has also started the "are you really sure you want to put me there" stiffness. In both cases it happens going up or down the gears. 1st takes a bit longer than 2nd to warm up and play nice (and it goes from uncooperative to resistant). It's an 01 C4 with 67k-ish. The transmission was flushed over the summer. The clutch was last replaced in the high 20s (tech said it was already half gone while he was in doing the second RMS). So is this just the clutch needing to be replaced (we've been expecting it in the 65-75k range) or something else? Thanks, -dave

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would guess so since it was done by the dealer (somehow they only charged me half what my Indy wanted for the 60k...).
I had that after I changed to Mobil Delvac 75w-90 @ 50k. I changed to Motul 300 75w-90 at 50,020. Now it shifts like "new" again. see Luxtor's chart in post 10 and 20 of this thread. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ear-300-a.html
