Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought a Porsche that was certified and is supposed to have extended warranty. Should I recieve some notification of this other than a certificate from the dealer which says it passed the inspection? I don't think I have anything stating the warranty is extended 2 years to 100K. What should I have? I have been told that it would show up in the computer system but after a week it has not. (I took it to a another dealer where the service paperwork read out the remaining warranty.) Is this all that will happen and when should I expect to see this in the system? I am a bit concerned as this is quite valuable I think. Bill

Search is your friend........ Here is something that was going around a while back: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/122869-anyone-else-buy-a-certified-porsche.html

POST 3Original post

my car has a 1 year warranty for pre owned porsches, from a porsche dealer and it is written in a special porsche booklet. do not know if it should be done the same way with extended 2 year warranty.

POST 4Original post

I called Porsche to ask about them and was told to contact the selling dealer. I contacted the GM (twice) who told me that they were waiting for their booklets from Porsche and that I would get it as soon as they were received. That was 6 months ago - never got anything. We have purchased two Lexus CPO cars and both times got a whole bunch of stuff from the dealer and from Lexus. On a scale of 1-10, Lexus gets a 10, Porsche gets a -5.

POST 5Original post

That's odd...... My packet was sent with the Atlanta return address (pre-preinted large envelope with Porsche seal) and the postmark was out of Marlborough, MA. FYI...bought the car here in Las Vegas.

POST 6Original post

I got booklet from Porsche within 2 months of purchase

POST 7Original post

I think that they will mail you a package/booklet shortly after purchase. Be a little patient to see if it comes in the mail. If not, then you can start digging around.

POST 8Original post

Thanks for the info. I just sent off an email to Porsche Customer Service requesting my information packet.

POST 9Original post

After an email, the dealer contacted me yesterday and told me the paperwork is on the way....

POST 10Original post

CLL ACAB, Could you please reply with the email address of Porsche Customer Service. I've had my CPO car for a year now and it's been a pain in the *** to get the dealer to get it right. Maybe Porsche NA will get them moving. Thanks in advance. Pat

Porsche does not make it easy to find their contact page. You have to do a search. But here is the link: http://www2.us.porsche.com/english/u...ct/contact.asp

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I received a folder today with a letter from PNA and a warranty book, and a couple other books. So this confirmed the warranty in an offical way. I am glad to have this and thought to post it as there were others with questions. It took about 3 weeks which from the other notes I seen, is pretty quick. Bill
