Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Noticed that one of my rear bumperettes was scratched on my 996 C4S. Can the rubber material be smoothed out with fine sandpaper or the like to return it to a smooth finish ? or will it cause more damage.........anybody ever try it or any other ideas.........or does anyone know the cost of a new one ? Seems like an easy swap out, open cover panel, remove screws and replace ? Any info appreciated...............
