Out driving my 2003 996 C4S tonight, got some gas, noted on the way home that nothing happens when I hit the horn, no sound, no horn. I tried hitting all the parts of the center hub of the steering wheel to no avail. Car is otherwise as perfect as ever. Any thoughts? I guess I will take it in as I consider being hornless a safety hazard, its probably against the law as well. Thanks in advance for any help.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Fuse?
These horns go bad all the time. We just had a guy on RennTech.org that had both of them bad - he couldn't believe it until he replaced them both. When mine die I think I'll go for the Griots air horns.
