Gee, 2 problems in one day..hope this is not a trend. I have a loud whistle/whine noise coming from the front end of my car (as far as I can tell, it is the front, it's hard to determine). The noise is loud enough to hear over the normal engine/exhaust sound. It does not seem to be related to engine speed or braking. The noise appears at around 20mph and remains constant. When decelerating, the noise stops abruptly once I'm back down to 15-20 mph. I thought it might be related to my trunk lid problem (see other post) but this is not the cause. Anyone have a guess? (radiator, coolant line?) Thanks.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is the noise effected by applying the brakes?
No, braking does not change the noise. The noise merely stops once I get down to 15-20mph. Engine rpm also has no effect on the noise. It's very hard to tell exactly where it's coming from, since I kinda have to hang my head out of the window once over 25 mph. The wind noise makes it very hard to determine but my best guess is the front end.
