Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That's zanzibar red I think...first 996 I ever saw (back in '99) was that clour. Looks really nice in real life. But it is orange, and driving an orange car is not for just anyone..
not bad but to pull off that color you need aero, bigger wheels, lower
It must be the lighting. In some lighting, Guards Red looks orange as well. Guards Red has alot of orange in it.
Oh Great Pumpkin !
much prefer the GT3 RS orange.
I was just going to ask the board about this car. I have owned a bunch of off color 911's. I just like em. I have my garage packed with cars I won’t use as a daily driver or semi daily driver. The pricing on these 996's is just getting to the point where it makes a lot of sense to buy one for what I want to use it for. Pros and cons of a MY01 and this car in particular please? I assume it will PPI okay and we're talking somewhere near its offering price without lifting their buy it now offer. Thanks

Have seen this exact color combo in person - WYSIWYG. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder?!
I don't get it with gray interior though.
No help on the MY 01 issues or the price?

+2, interior should of been black... with the earokit and black 19" FTMFW
meh needs more
Wow, thats just down the road from me. Well, 100 miles.
Good Price though.
Ouch...it's so rare that I see a 996 with the base 17" wheels that it hurts to look at them.

I could be worse. Imagine those wheels on a 996 w/aerokit. (you've just imagined my car in the winter) It's not pretty, but it works!!
No real issues with the 2001. In 2002 they changed the front headlights and added a little more HP (larger engine...went from a 3.4 to a 3.6). I think that helps the value of the 2002 and newer. I have a 2000 which is very similar to a 2001 and I love it. With a SSK and good exhaust, maybe a CAI and coil overs, your in business. Of course you would need bigger wheels too.
