Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What are everybody's thoughts on driving a C2 in winter w/o PSM or TC? I'm considering one as my only car, but not sure about our midwest winters w/o PSM or TC. My last Boxster was brilliant in the winter with winter tires (that I still have and will fit the 996), TC, and a hard top. How about the C2? It wouldn't be our travel car (we'll have a Subaru for that), but at least will need to get me to work and back, and maybe other short trips. Gratuitus Boxster winter pic.

POST 2Original post

I drive my '02 C2 on snow tires in the winter. It works great!! The PSM/TC is a nice safety net and in the snow I can make it activate at will. That being said, I have no problem driving the car (in the snow) in such a manner that the system will not engage.

POST 3Original post

No TC or psm on my car just the winter tires and its fine in the snow.

POST 4Original post

P.S. The tires make a bigger difference then anything else, 4wd, TC, etc..

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I agree. I rarely got the Boxster to kick it's TC in...
