I'm looking for info on a specific rollcage that was floating around on the next approximatly this time last year. It might have been the GT3 rennsport cage. The cage had three sections to it: a back part, a front, and removable side impact bars. if anyone knows what i'm rambling about..please post. regards, omar

Why not just buy my teq roll bar Omar, why do you want a full cagei n astreet car? Kinda a hassle isn't it?
i'm willing 2 put up with the hassle. i have some lunatic plans for my car that i'm seriously considering. if i go ahead with them, the rollcage is a must. in any case, it sees less and less street time these days
Omar, there is the GT-3 cage which is bolt in and safety devices makes a cage as well (FIA cert) But a welded cage is the way to go. Gert can supply the GT-3 cage http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p96087.htm or http://www.safetydevices.com/ (you will have to call them) if it's not certified i would not bet my butt on it
or www.heigo.de
^ thanks for the links guys. the heigo one looks promissing, but infortunatly i don't speak a word of german. i did notice that their cages had door bars however. would it be possible 2 add one to the GT-3 cage? or would that not work with the rest of the design?
fvd sells the heigo stuff!
Omar you could always get a custom cage done, I had one in my quarter mile car. It was built by a guy name Donnie @ phoenix Fabricating. Just a thought. In Scarborough
^ that' s another option to consider. the guys @ fiorano/ g-tek could probably do that too, i should probably give em a call. do u have the contact info for donnie@ phoenix ?
Dead, I have the Safety Devices cage in my car. It has some nice features. It has weld in plates that the cage bolts to so it can be removed if needed. The door bars are removable with four bolts for easier access although I plan to weld in some larger ones for next season so that feature will go away. It fits really well although, for obvious reasons, the front loop doesn't go through the AC vent like cup cars which makes it harder to get in and out. Overall a pretty nice product. I hope you don't plan on driving on the street with a cage. I would never get in a car with a cage without a helmet. Ouch! Jim
hehe.. head+steel bar = pain. i keep a rally helmet in my car at any given time now Jim, would you mind posting some photos of your cage just so i can have a look-see?
Here ya go Omar, The guy did a great job on my Quarter mile race car( Mustang) .This guy is truly a quality guy...Very busy tho so give him a call. [phone removed] 501 Passmore Avenue, Scarborough
I'll take a few pics tonight. BTW, if you have a good guy to do a true custom cage, that would probably be better. If you get to that point, I'd be glad to share the things that I would ask for. Jim
Dead, I you PM me your email, I'll send you some pics. I realized I don't have pic software on my new computer to reduce the size of the pics so I don't want to post them. Jim
Try kirkracing.com, they make a nice bolt-in or weld-in for earlier 911's not sure about 996, but worth giving them a call...
