Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys I've been searching around and found various prices for the mk. I aerokit. Do you guys know anywhere that offers good deals on them? Prices I' ve found have been 5400 and 4800. Any info would be appreciated.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think Brandywine had them for $5400 and Mashaw was selling them for $4650.

POST 4Original post

thx...how does the kit work ...do you disable the rear tail?

POST 5Original post

I bought a rear Areo wing from MASHAW and was happy with it. It eliminates the factory mechanical spoiler. --------------------------------------------- Tony Westminster, Maryland USA 2004 40 Year 911 2000 Ford Excursion V10 1998 BMW 540 6 speed sport 1985 GMC Suburban (4" lift w/35" Super Swampers) 1980 Triumph TR-7 (367hp Buick GN powered) 2003 Yamaha Roadstar

I think the wing accents and rocker panels really add to the look of the 911. I look in the garage every day just to see the baby parked there...now if I only had a wing!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yea so far Mashaw looks like the lowest price for the whole kit

POST 8Original post

maybe true - but MA Shaw is a copy and not the factory (different material)

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

really?? hmm thanks for the heads up. Is the Mashaw peice fiberglass or polyurethane?? How's the fitmant if anyone has had any experiences with it

POST 10Original post

fiberglass or carbon fiber are their normal materials they might have Factory stuff but they are known for their copies

POST 11Original post

I bough the factory kit (sans wing) for $2K from Brandywine. Paid $500 for the skirts and $1500 for the front bumper. Since my car is a CAB the rear taco wing was a no go and I don't like the little wimpy wing for the CAB (called the carrera wing). However, I spent about $4K with them during that purchase hence the killer deal.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yea I'd feel alot safer with OEM parts. So if you paid $2000 for the front and sides that means the taco wing is $3400 according to their full kit price?? I better call them up and check it out. I guess my main concern is that the front bumper be polyurethane... does anyone know how the quality of replica taco wings are?? By the way thanks for all the info so far guys it's been really helpful.

POST 13Original post

I would stick with OEM if you are concerned about quality (ie, fibereglass v. poly). The wing is NOT $3400. The skirts and the front are actually much more than I paid. But, since I bought quite a bit from them I got a more of a price break and the front was an orphan from a kit that was gone. You can still get them for those prices if you have patience and make enough calls. I have seen the skirts going for about $600-750 lately on sale from ads in various mags. But several people here have bought skirts in the $600 (and sometimes less) price range.

POST 14Original post

Ma_shaw quality is second to none but OEM will provide the perfect fitment. I've seen some of the Mashaw kits and they are good quality kits with excellent fitment. No, I dont know Mike Shaw.
