Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone tell me what the diameter of a normal 996 3-spoke steering wheel is at the top (where it's not bulged)? I see from Gert's site that the grip of the CPZ wheel is 2.4mm bigger in diameter, which should be a bit more than 1/4" larger in circumference. My 4-spoke wheel is about 3.7" circumference at the top. What's the same dimension on a 3-spoke 996 wheel? Thanks for any help you can provide!

POST 2Original post

I have the same question. I did a search before posting and found this old un-answered thread. Does anybody know?

POST 4Original post

hello, I have the three spoke steering wheel, so I can measure it if you would like. If so, am I understanding you right...that you just need the top of the wheel measured? Patrick

POST 5Original post

Thanks, Patrick. Actually my question might be differernt than the original post. I'd like to know the overall diameter of the regular 3-spoke wheel and that of the CPZ. Are they the same? Or if different, what the the respective diameters? Thanks! Matt

POST 6Original post

My 3 spoke measures in inches, from 3 oclock to 9 oclock...14 13/16". Same dimension from 12 to 6.

POST 7Original post

Thank you. So 375mm, right? Is the CPZ the same? (Give or take the extra padding?)
