Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought my car back in December - 2004 C2 with all of 24 miles on the clock. I have since done the clear sides, colored wheel crests, and a few other little things for aestetics as well as SSK. My next appearance things will probably be aluminum door package, and aluminum dial rings. My question for you guys is when I am done with that where should I start on the performance side? There is an authorized Renntech shop that can do cold air and ECU here in Houston. I was thinking about doing those now. After that if you had to choose between PSE and PSS9 suspension which would you do first? I am going to be taking the car to the track on occasion - probably 2-3 times per year. However, I would like the ability to lower it a bit. Thoughts?

POST 2Original post

I would do the PSE first and then the RoW M030 suspension second. Ask LVDell about them, as he has done both. Also, you might want to consider side skirts (a.k.a. rocker panels).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I already have the rocker panels - they were on the car when I got it. Thanks for the other info. What is the difference between the Row Mo30 and the Pss9 suspension?

POST 4Original post

The must have mods are: SSK PSE ROW 030 Sports Suspension iPod integration And then there is: Clear corner marker lenses Aluminum trim rings for the instruments Integrated Garage door opener Save your money on the ECU, and cold air intakes. They do nothing except make your wallet lighter.

POST 5Original post

The PSS9 is a waste of money if you just want to lower the car and only track it a few times a year. How much do you want to lower it? H&R springs will lower it about 1.5" all around while the M030 will only lower it about 1" (or less). On the performance side of things, you're not going to get a lot of extra power by swapping out the intake and remapping the ECU. If you add in a new aftermarket freer-flowing exhaust to the ECU and intake, you can get about 20HP at high RPMs with a loss of low-end TQ and daily driveability. Headers won't add much either. In the end, is it really worth it to lose low end power and get high RPM power for several thousand dollars? That's a question only you can answer!
