Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Pics on the Niello Web Page... http://porsche.niello.com/cgi/details/2005112912353007 This is a Tiptronic with 18,500 miles and very clean. Not much for options...side skirts, some carbon fiber, Power seats, headlight washers, What do you think is a Fair Market Price?

POST 2Original post

I'd say that the asking price is in the ballpark for low mileage C4s in my area. If the car has been on the Dealer's lot for a few weeks I'm certain that he'd be willing to entertain serious offers. I imagine that you could buy this car for around $54K in most areas of the country.

POST 3Original post

60K seems high for a 2001 C4. Even though the car has only 19,000 miles (which in my opinion isn't a selling point) I would look at a 2002, much better outside and in which I think you should be able to find for the same money. Rob

POST 4Original post

fyi: 2 weeks ago, my local p-car dealer had a cpo 02 C4 tip. cab. for sale, asking price is 61900.

POST 5Original post

You can have mine for less. Has many more miles. I will however throw in the GT3 seats, the winter wheels/tires and suspension and everything else.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to ALL for the considered response...I closed on the car Saturday at $52,000...but wondered if I had dealt well or not. After driving for 8 hrs from Sacramento to Las Vegas...the price was less and less of a factor...Part of me wished I had plunged into debt to have the 2006 C4...oh well...the car in my garage is fine...just that consumer fever reminds me of what I do not have...as far as the 2006 upgrades!

POST 7Original post

Congratulations on your new car, but I also think you could have found a newer model for the same price. But then again, I'm sure yours is pristine with so few miles on it.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thx...Truth is this is my wife's daily driver...thus was looking for speed yellow, Tip, C4... Given those parameters I kinda jumped when I saw a likley candidate within driving distance, and with low milies too... I agree that if color and Tip were not major factors in the purchase, I could have considered something else! We're happy that's really good, I have been around on a few 'buyers remorse" deals and they are no fun. This one seems to be positive "the morning after" so to speak.
