Hi all, I'm new to this forum and looking to buy my first 911. I own a very small used car dealership specializing in $15-30k European cars and have thus far stuck mainly with sedans and SUV's such as the 3,5 series, E Class, X types, X5, etc. I occasionally buy myself a car to drive around in for a few months and have had two 745i's, an '03 M3, Dodge Ram SRT/10, and most recently a VW Phaeton. The M3 had the SMG tranny and the overall car just didn't live up to the expectations that I had for it. The 911's are finally in my price range and I'll be looking at the following car: A 2002 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, Black/Black, 6 speed, the 5 spoke 18" wheels, and it seems to be pretty lightly optioned from the info I have. It seems to have the BOSE Audio and 6 CD Changer, dual power seats that look to be heated, and a 3 spoke steering wheel. The car has 55k miles and according to a condition report, the hood and passenger side fender have been replaced. The front and rear bumpers as well as the deck lid have been repainted. The car does not have unibody or frame damage. From the info it's likely it was in an accident and got bumped at both ends. The paint work will mean I can buy it for less money. The car is coming off of lease. My question to you is if this sounds like if it would be tough to resell after I'm done driving it. I usually put 3-4k miles on the cars then let them go. Would you go for a lightly optioned, previous paint work 911 if the price was right? I always price my demo's very close to cost after I've put the miles on them. Depending on what the car takes in the shop, brakes, rotors, tires, scheduled maintenance, etc., I should be able to sell this car in the $35-38k range. Thanks for any input.

If your not concerned with the accident info, just make sure you do a PPI before purchase. A couple hundred bucks and you have a better knowledge of the car inside and out.....
