Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm interested in finding an '02 Cab (C2, 6 spd manual, PSM, advanced technic, heated seats, hardtop, mileage <20k, silver/black, well maintained). What's a realistic estimate of the current price range for this car?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The autotrader advanced search feature is interesting, but the only '02 Cabs within 300 miles of DC in autotrader are for sale from dealers with an average asking price of ~$70K. This is ~$15k over the KBB trade in value. My understanding is that there is a significant difference between dealer asking price on these cars and a realistic actual purchase price that a dealer or an individual seller would be willing to accept. I'm just trying to get a feel for what an educated buyer is currently paying for a nice example '02 Cabriolet.

POST 4Original post

Total WAG - $60K from private party, $65K from a dealer. + / - based on mileage, body condition being excellent and some key options.

POST 5Original post

why limit to 300 miles, I bought my car in TX... Certain markets have a glut of 996s and the prices reflect that. Also try www.cars.com...
