Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Need some help with center airvents in a 99 996 that always end up pointing downwards. The only time they stay pointing up was during winter with the heat turned on (the heat must make the plastic expand). I had thought about gluing slivers of felt inside the "joint socket" of the vent. Anyone have a similar problem? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

here is one option to resolve the problem. http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm go to the P96 options under Alu centre vent. Center Air Vent in Alu Look/Leather For every P96 from MY'02-'03 Price : 195 Euro Dollar Conversion Factory part. The vents are in artic silver, the surround is finished in leather.

POST 3Original post

Uh... that will not fit a MY99 car. What he would need is: 996 552 131 04 EJK Center Console Support $111.84 (retail). This is in Granite Grey (only standard trim color for MY99)

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Loren, does the console pop off? What's the best tool for removing this? Thank you.

POST 5Original post

On a MY99 - a butter knife or other dull edged tool. If you have leather cushion the pry point with a soft coth.

Take 50mg of Viagra and you won't notice it anymore.
