Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, i've read conflicting and confusing information on this, so i'm trying to get a final answer if possible. can i transfer a 996 turbo decklid and wing to my 02 C4S? i've read that the lift pumps and fans are in different places on the 2 cars and that's why it won't work. has anyone tried this? does anyone know for sure if this will work or not? if it won't work, i'm looking to add a 996 turbo looking wing. does anyone make a good replica? thanks in advance for any help... josh

POST 2Original post

I had a C4S and I installed an Aero kit, and I still have the stock C4S deck lid. I now have a TT and I just compared the two. The fan and intake hole are not in the correct locations on a TT lid for a C4S. Can't really comment on aftermarket wings. Good luck...

even though it's not the answer i wished for, it's exactly the information i was looking for ;-) thanks a lot for your help. ...josh

POST 4Original post

this will not work. the metal piece which houses the 3rd brake light is much wider on the c4s than on the turbo. The decklid is different than the C4s decklid as is the space that fits it.

thanks jyoteen. on another note, did you used to own an Audi and be active on audiworld.com? your name sounds familiar and the fact that you're in LA rings a bell. ...josh
