Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know this topic has been covered a thousand times but is there is a cupholder like this that will fit on a 2001 996?

POST 3Original post

I just bought the Ultimate Cup Holder...it has a tongue that slides under the center console lip between the carpeting and the console. I have it on the passenger's side because my car has the manual seat forward/back control and the handle gets in the way. On the passenger's side it works great. Can be put in/out in 1.2 seconds . Nicely made, satin finished stainless and black anti-skid on the inside to hold the cup. Takes all sizes of containers. Is unobtrusive and discreet. I've driven aggressively and it doesn't spill. It's low down and center of gravity keeps coffee or whatever in the container. Can be taken out in a flash if you are insecure about having a cup holder in a P car. Personally, I'd rather have the cupholder than hot coffee in my crotch. Chuck

POST 4Original post

I got 2 ultimate cupholders and they work...the one on the drivers side is not very comfortable when it has a drink in it....but empty it is never in the way....and yes it is better than a hot drink spilling in your lap or all over the floor.
