Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

996 = ugly redheaded step child
Look again. 1997 Type 996 is right there, third tile back. 1997 was the European launch of the new water-cooled 911.

You are correct sir! I feel better. Will look nice on my desk at work.
Nice!
BTW: 996 is NOT the ugly step child EMBRACE THE HEADLIGHTS - this is the official 991 launch video. You Tube
I just wonder who in Porsche marketing approved this little do-dad. It is fine... and the personalization was a nice touch. But at best it is an mildly interesting dust trap. Makes you wonder what mock up ideas they discarded.
^ I signed up for mine. Waiting for it to arrive. I like Porsche dust traps, and this will be a nice addition -td
Rec'd mine Saturday - neat - I put the tiles in reverse order so 1963 is first. You can really see the evolution in 3d.
where / how did you get it...
Porsche sent a flyer and you had to register for it. -td
I register'd for it and it has yet to show up at my door although they did say the quantity was limited. It looks sweet so here's to hoping that mine is still on its way.
Waiting for mine as well...
Waiting for mine also.
Damn! I don't recall seeing anything in the mail... with my luck it went to my old address.

I was gonna say......
1. Is it too late to register? 2. If not, where/how can we do so?

I did that too. You can appreciate how much the car has grown over time that way.

I like the silhouettes
Mine just arrived today! March 13th so they are still sending them out.
Got mine on Friday, quite a bit of packaging for such a small trinket!

Cracks me up. In the video they show the driver shifting with a stick shift. The sporting thing to be doing. Just try and find a 991 with a stick. It will not be easy!
