Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I am getting to know my 03 996TT and have uncovered some odd behaviour from the PCM. I put some cds in the changer and pressed the "CDC" button but no response other than "phone not available" (or similar). Then I pressed the "AM" button and got the CDC. Finally pressed the "FM" button and switched between AM and FM. Is it possible that my head unit has ben programmed with the phone options? (I don't have the phone buttons). Anyone here heard of that before? Cheers, Ben

POST 2Original post

Interesting! I've never heard of that issue. I don't know if the PCM unit can be programmed for phone operation, but it certainly sounds like it...
