Over Labor Day weekend, I took a drive up to Mt Evans in Colorado. The elavation at the top is over 14,000 feet. On the way up. around 11,000 feet my 2001 996 C2 started cutting out. It was like the ignition was turned off. This would happen for about 2-3 seconds and then turn back on. It did this 5-6 times and I thought I should turn around. It still did it 4-5 more times on the way down the mountain. I didn't have it checked out because it stopped cutting out until yesterday. I was just driving around and it started doing it again. The exact same thing . . . it's like the engine was turned off for 2-3 seconds. I don't get a CEL or any notification of any problem. It only seems to do this under light load when I'm just cruising around. Do you have any idea what can be causing this? I've got 3 track days this weekend and I don't want any engine problems. I have a tip if this makes any difference. Thanks a lot. Ken

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
