So i was reading this thread by jw996 and it got me thinking... I am getting ready to do PSE hack, but it seems that some aftermarket exhausts actually give you more horsepower. For example, fabspeed website claims 12-15hp gain on a 996. Is it true? Has it been confirmed? I am all for extra horsepower, but is that just a marketing crap? Should i still do PSE hack or should i consider getting an aftermarket exhaust to get a few extra horses? And while we on the subject... when talking to alex @ sharkwerks this week (while getting my GIAC ECU done), alex mentioned that you have to be careful with some headers since you might actually LOOSE torque. So that has been confirmed by jw996 -- but are there headers which are known to add torque and HP? The fact that you can loose torque makes me very weary of changing out headers and the thread by jw996 confirms my suspicions...

jkb, I have Billy Boats on mine. I'm near Sacramento. If you ever want to meet & take it for a drive, I'm always happy to meet another Porsche enthusiast. I plan on doing some open track days this summer. Infineon would be a great place to meet for a PCA track day.
