Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm getting pinched pretty hard. I just paid about $28 per case ... that's about $4.67 per quart of oil. I'm getting this oil at a local Mobil products distributer. I haven't seen it at Walmart/Kmart or any other discount stores. Would love to know what others have found.

POST 2Original post

That sounds about right. My local guy charged me $7.99 per quart my first time around!!! I'll never make that mistake again.

POST 3Original post

Well in the UK it's 14 British pounds a liter which comes out to $21 a liter or $168 for 8 liters for an oil change. Thats in line with the $4.90 a gallon we pay for gas, which comes to $67 every time I fill up. But at least the gas is 98 Octane.

POST 4Original post

Anything under $5 per quart is a good price. Lowest I've found was $3.99. Most dealers charge $8-$9 per quart

POST 6Original post

Target was selling Mobil 1 for ~$4.40 per quart, but they didn't have 0-40. Bought it instead yesterday for a little over $5 / qt at Valley oil.

POST 7Original post

Every Kragen and Autozone in the Bay Area sells Mobil 1 0-40 now for $5/qt. Kragen also has ads in the Sunday comics from time to time for Mobil 1 at $ 3.99/qt. No need for me to trek to Valley Oil anymore.

POST 8Original post

In the Bay area, Porsche dealership charge $8 per quart, Mercedes dealership charges $5.00.

POST 9Original post

MKW...good to know that. I drive by Valley Oil every day on the way to the office...and there is a Kragen just 1/4 mile north on El Camino Real. I don't drive all over to save $5 - $10 anymore once I figured that @ $2.15 / gal, 16 mpg & ~$1000 for a set of tires that will lasts ~10,000 miles it's costing me $1 in consumables to drive every 4 miles. So I don't go out of my way to save a few $ shopping....unless of course there are fast twisties in between.
