Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I've got a 2002 Targa with 80k miles, has a considerable amount of wind noise coming from the top center of the windshield when going above 70 mph or so. Not noticeable at slower speeds. The trim surrounding the windshield up there is quite cracked, maybe due to UV or heat damage. Anyone know of an easy fix for this or have the same issue? Thanks, Chris

Thanks Hurdi, but that's a posting for wind noise on a cabriolet hardtop, I've got a targa.

I once had a windshield replaced and noticed a lot of wind noise. Took it back to the shop and what they did was pull back the molding and fill it up with sealant. It stopped the noise after letting it cure for a few days. Maybe give that a shot?
