Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello guys, Just got a new after market bumper. It has grills so I can basically see through. Can I paint the front coolant to match my car color black? thanks for any inputs!

POST 3Original post

if you do.. let us know how it works out for you.

POST 4Original post

Do a search for Eastwood radiator paint. Yes, you can paint them but you need a special paint that will allow for the heat transfer. This has been done in the restoration biz. C. Edit: Here is the website /info: http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...mType=CATEGORY Good luck.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Chads, Yes the radiators. Here is a picture I can currently find on my laptop.

POST 6Original post

You should leave the radiator as it is, it will have better heat transfer properties without any paint what so ever. Especially on the 996 radiators you are suppose to clean them really well often as they will trap a lot of debris and dirty which will drastically reduce the cooling efficiency. But you can paint the lines that goes before the radiator.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I am thinking to paint the pipelines. That thing looks more terrible than the actual radiator. Like remove the OEM sticker and paint the pipelines to black.

Robin's got the right idea. If seeing the inner workings through the grills really bothers you then paint the metal lines that lead to and from the rad and maybe the metal casing of the rads. Don't try painting the rad cores - it will reduce their efficiency. .

POST 9Original post

BTW that looks like A/C condensor in the pic to me, doesn't it to you guys? I thought the A/C condensor is on the left side?

POST 10Original post

hmmm, I think your missing some ducting that can hide some of that stuff (piping) rather than painting.

It's on both sides in front of the radiators

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

okay guys, here are a few pictures I just took. Should I just buy the eastwood paint?

POST 13Original post

I would be less **** and leave them as they are. Black paint we only make it harder to keep the coolant in the lines cool.

POST 14Original post

The GT3 has a panel the direct the air through the radiators which covers the plumbing. Perhaps it will fit? Same with the center.

POST 15Original post

Painting them will just make it look like the body shop didn't tape up very well and got overspray on everything behind the grilles. I would leave it alone, it looks better having aluminum condensor/radiator/lines than flaking, faded black paint.

POST 16Original post

Why dont you make the original cover work somehow or make a cover?

Just paint it flat black and you wont even see them.
