Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

NNJR had a DE at Lime Rock last Wednesday and Thursday. I thought, for a hoot, I'd take the 996 out (really, I just wanted to see what it was like and learn its limits better). Anyhow, overall my impressions are good. Comfortable, lots of power, X74 is nice, PSM was fun to play with. On the down side, the understeer is horrible and Michelin PS2s don't hold up to track abuse... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVXSOid2u04

Cool video. Do you catch air coming up the hill coming up the hill on the back straight? Looks like fun!!

No, the car isn't quite powerful enough (or I'm not fast enough). My 944 turbo gets light enough to spin the rear wheels over the hill, though!
