I know this has been covered in the past, but I have just got around to getting a laptop, and wanted to know what is the latest and greatest OBDII software for a 99 and a 01 C2?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I've been pretty happy with http://www.obd-2.com/ It trends data, saves log files, can replay sessions, and can export data to Excel. You can download the software for free, but need a password and a cable to connect to your car. You need to be a bit carefull on getting the right cable. My Dell worked OK with the serial cable, but the IBM T40 needed a different cable. The T40 did not have a serial port. Even when I bought the IBM Serial/Parallel to USB adaptor, I needed to exchange the cable. They exchanged it even though it was nearly a year old. Not sure why anew cable was needed, but I am working fine now. This setup cannot reset Air bags and it does only some of the PST (Porsche System Tester) functions. You may also find a list of OBD codes at http://www.renntech.org/ . I'm still looking for the Porsche manuals for the OBD and fuel injection. Anyone know where to find them?
