POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I am proud and happy to say that I just picked up my new to me 04 C4S Coupe tonight and what a nice machine. Was leaning toward a 993 but the wife came up with some very senseable reasons to consider the 996. Now I have heat when I want it and they tell me the a/c works also! Not to mention a real stereo and cupholders, isn't life wonderful. I am here to learn about this fine automobile.

POST 2Original post

Congrats! Very nice looking C4S! Thanks for sharing the pics of your sweet ride!

POST 4Original post

Absolutely beautiful You've come to the right place if you want to learn about the car.....and people as well

POST 5Original post

Very nice!! You bought it from Irvine too. I was looking at a couple of 4S's from that dealer when I bought mine. Congrats!

POST 6Original post

Dell, Happy to see you are here... hopefully you got sufficiently drunk last night and are back full time!! Don't leave us!

POST 8Original post

Dell needed a brake and a drink (don't we all?) https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/333273-so-long-my-996-forum-friends.html

POST 9Original post

Welcome Bernocco. Your car is gorgeous. Hopefully, I will find mine soon. How was your dealing with Autohaus West? Did you get a PPI done?

POST 10Original post

Dell- Glad to see you still lurk around here.

POST 11Original post

POST 12Original post

POST 14Original post

I LOVE YOUR CAR!! Welcome Give us the details: Miles/options/price paid

POST 16Original post

Indeed, the A/C does work - and mine even has heated seats, to take the chill of those frosty SoCal mornings! Gorgeous car, welcome, and I'll look out for you on the 101!

POST 18Original post

YEah... whew... the 40 degreeF temperatures we've been having is simply plain TORTURE!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

GENERAL: Thanks to everyone for the really warm welcome! It is great to be here. I did take some influence from this list when I made my decision and then my first ride sealed the deal. I will jump in occausionally but will lurk for now. Thanks again to all. eric

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for the kudo's. I had a very good experience working with Victor Gonzalez. The interesting thing is that his manager tried to step in at one point and close the sale the LA way and I walked out got in my BMW and headed home. By the time I got to Malibu I had plenty of Thursday night rush hour traffic to think about how close we might be to a deal on a really nice car so I called Victor and explained that I did not enjoy working with his manager. Victor assured me that we could work together and within 15 minutes he called me back to inform me we were now within $200 of my number - so of course I took the deal. All in all I would have to say that I would recommend them to any potential buyer and ask for VICTOR. I did NOT get a PPI done because I am buying an extended warranty and the car was a one owner that did not have a scratch dent or moist spot on it. This is me having F A I T H !! Thanks again, eric

POST 22Original post

Congrats!! Beautiful car - but of course, I'm biased. Mileage/options?? Phil

POST 23Original post

Gorgeous widebody and great choice........... Dell.... hope you got some nookie..... i'm still waiting.....sigh.......

POST 24Original post

****, ****, ****!!! I didn't see your "So long" thread until after it was closed. Since I didn't get the chance to "B!tch Slap" you in that thread, I'll do it here! WTF is wrong with you??? Speak your mind like you always have and then say f'ck 'em it they don't like it. < b!tch slap #1 has ended > Now, 'cuz you are my buddy, I do have to tell you that I thought that some of your recent comments were more agressive than usual. In fact, I thought a couple of them were "over the top." That is my opinion, straight up! But the fact remains that you are still entitled to your opinions, just as we all are! Now let me "B!tch Slap" you another way. If you're still gonna hang out here but turn into a Wuss, then get the "Blue Hell" out of here and go hang out in the GT3 forum, cuz we ain't havin' any Wusses here in the 996 Forum! < b!tch slap #2 has ended > Glad you finally pulled your head out of your @ss at the tail end of your "So long" thread, 'cuz I didn't want to have to make the 2.5 hour drive in the rain today to b!tch slap you in person!

POST 25Original post

hehehe, thanks Tim I think it just came to a head with all the generation "me" posts that my fuse got shorter and shorter. All's right once again. Thanks for the bitch slap. I'm here to stay, just with a different persepctive of what to expect.

POST 26Original post

As Rob (Riad) said to me shortly after I joined Rennlist "It's all good!"

POST 27Original post

Wow, that is AWSOME looking! Those Turbo rims are sweet on the widebody cars! Good luck!!

POST 30Original post

Now that you mention it... where is Riad? haven't seen any posts from him recently. Have also been missing Nicolaas, my fellow Dutchman living in LA. Any ideas what's up with him?

POST 31Original post

Riad popped in here a couple of days ago and posted a couple of times. I understand he has been really busy. Not sure about Nicolaas though.

POST 32Original post

Congrats on the new car! Look beautiful! Enjoy her.

POST 33 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tuesday, finally had a chance to drive the new ride today after the drive home on Saturday - NOW I remember why I bought this car - WOW! I even like cruising in it at like 60MPH - too cool. Someone mentioned about the turbo twist wheels on the wide body well I am going to replace them with some racey looking aftermarket wheels and tires, does anyone have any suggestions and pix of something that might make the car pop tastefully but awesome in a 19"?? Do you think I should post a thread on this question?

POST 34Original post

You don't nees to start another wheel thread. Get your favorite beverage then do a search on 19" or on wheels . Then sit back and enjoy because you will have an entire evening of reading the pros and cons of 19" wheels.

POST 35Original post

Dell have you tried Belvedere with 3 bluecheese olives. I am talkin heaven!! Nice to have you back. Saw my car for 3 days put some new floor mats in her started her up but too much snow to drive. I am now doing the South America tour won't be home again till begining of April. Maybee I can drive her then...

POST 36Original post

Congrats on the nice C4S! Why are the rear bumperettes not painted? I thought all post facelift cars have them painted and the C4S is a 2004? Did Porsche only paint the C2 and C2 narrow-body bumperettes?

POST 37Original post

My 03 C4S has black bumperettes as well. I do think it was a NB only feature post facelift. Also compared to a a co-workers 03 C2, my bumperettes seem to stick out further

POST 38Original post

I have but not the blue cheese olives. I absolutely abhore blue cheese, but the Belvedere is divine But with that said, my wife prefers Grey Goose, so therefore I "prefer" Grey Goose

POST 39Original post

Yes my wife prefers belvedere so same reason.. Cheers

POST 41Original post

Remember what I told you about becoming a Wuss?

POST 42Original post

You guys should contact Eric at Bumperplugs.com. I have seen a lot of his work in his shop and I can tell you that his guys do a AWESOME job on painting bumperettes. He will do a "core swap" with you so you don't have any downtime with your car. You order your bumperettes, he charges you for an out-right (no core swap)bumperette purchase, and he sends you the painted bumperettes. When you return your unpainted bumperettes, he credits you back for the "core swap." His work is REALLY first rate. Tell him Tim (Gota911) sent you! BTW - That and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee!

POST 43Original post

I got my bumperettes already painted, when I purchased my hardtop. I got my B&M SSK from Eric and can confirm that he's great in costumer service.

POST 44Original post

Great car- some day I'll have a car that is as fat as myself- cant wait to do the bumperettes- mine are so ugly to look at now!

POST 45Original post

Congrats on your purchase. Is this your first P car? If it is you will be amazed what these things can do. If not you will be amazed how better they get. I love the wide bodies. Enjoy in good health and DRIVE IT!!!

POST 46Original post

I already am waiting for a painted center console, upper console and short shift kit from Eric. Can't wait to get them!! That was my Feb budget... bumperettes will have to wait... Honestly for whatever reason, I don't mind the black bumperette look, maybe I'm crazy.

POST 47 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well thanks for the kudos. Not my first P car but overall my favorite. My slant is nice to look at and to drive a couple times a year but this car combines all the thrills and excitement of the P car feeling plus it is a driver!! I can drive it any time and any where. And I have to keep saying that is even has a cup holder. I believe my total to date is 5 different cars. Nice bumperetts but I think for now will leave stock and just hunt down some trick wheels to make it pop. I am having a real identity problem....... it looks too much like about 557,000 other ones around the neighborhood - OH WELL.

POST 49 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My Slant is now for sale..... http://www.globalautosports.com/car/...oupe-6659.html PM if anyone might be interested. eric
