First, my car is a factory stock GT3 (2004). After a service at the dealer where the AC control unit was erroneously replaced, the car now starts emitting a Gong whenever I exceed 73 mph (the gong is the same sound as when the seat belt is not connected) and does not reset until I slow down to 68 mph. This has nothing to do with the speed limit warning, which makes a different chime altogether. I had an independent shop look at the car and he stated that the problem seems to be that my car now thinks it has a extendable tail like a standard Carrera. Since the tail does not extend, the warning gong sounds when I exceed 73 mph. Obviously, the GT3 is a fixed wing car, so what is it that makes my car now think it is a Carrera instead of a GT3 and sound off when the nonexistent tail fails to deploy?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
