Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was looking for weight info on my wheels as I may want to change them out for aftermarket when I lower the car. The wheels are the Carrera 5 spoke and in looking at the Porsche site, I couldn't find the weight info. However, I did see this Front: 8 J x 18 ET 50 Rear: 10 J x 18 ET 65 Are the 50 and 65 numbers the wheel offsets?

POST 2Original post

ET refers to the offset of the wheel. Basically the distance in mm from the center of the wheel to the mounting surface..

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ah, ET=offset. Naturally. Thanks for the info

POST 4Original post

ET=offset, but what does the initials ET mean?

POST 5Original post

Thats the question I have, what does ET translate to?

POST 6Original post

i know that this is the question , and that's why i asked....

POST 7Original post

It is the shortened form of "Einpresstiefe" which translates to insertion depth, as the offsett is the inward depth of offset from the wheel centre...I think! Mit vielen Herzlichen Gluckwunsche fur Weihnachtsfest
