Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm doing OK on Dunlop M2s but I haven't ventured on to a highway or anything when I really had to go somewhere. I've just been around town. What can I expect?

POST 2Original post

Mine is amazing in the snow and ice (on Pirelli P240 SnowSports). No problems at all to date.

POST 3Original post

Running on the stock Pirelli PZeros I can get around in up to 3 inches of snow, beyond that, time to switch tires...

POST 4Original post

Even if its just really cold, its better to have snow tires because its a different rubber compound made for colder temperatures. I've had no problems at all with my C4(not a C4S)...4"+ of snow on mountain roads and highways...

POST 5Original post

just great - my 2002 c2 with a set of 17" porsche wheels and pilot alpin tires is a tank -and i live in rochester ny where we really know what snow is. the car just goes - firm and straight. when i had the 18" and pzeros on it was a scary time - not just c4 - but c2 is great in every respect with the right tires...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I live about an hour from Rochester and know what you mean. I need to get this thing on the highway though to see how bad off I'll be. Around town though, I'm having fun...

POST 7Original post

We need to find a Newfoundland owner and ask him/her to try the C4S on this road http://www.edu.gov.nf.ca/snow/photo.htm

POST 9Original post

Its not awsome if you live..............poor bastards couldnt get out for 10 days................However better them them me!

POST 10Original post

the c4s is great with conti snows--especially for a car with such wide tires. an a4 quattro is better but not as much fun. the dumb suv's appear totally confused when they are slipping and you aren't!

POST 11Original post

What's sad is the SUV'ers you refer to ignacio, have problems snow or not. Here in CA, the SUV drivers freak when it rains...2/3rds have cell phones in their ears, and they all assume their SUV will do the driving for them...NOT. You know what's fun in the snow/ice, an old RE Corvair with no power and light as a feather in the front... It doesn't matter what a vehicle is capable of...if the driver dosen't have the driving attention or skills...he's in the ditch or smashing someone.
