Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

CARBONIO PORSCHE COLD AIR INTAKE - PORSCHE 996, wanted to see how you liked it and is it worth the 1 k. Best, H

POST 2Original post

I do not have it. And no cold air intake is worth $1,000.00. All you get in 996 is extra engine noise from installing the CAI. Spend $20 on auto zone pipe and cone filter, attach it to the throttle body and MAF- VIOLA, you have the CAI that is just as good and "effective" as $1,000.00 one. If you want it for looks, then go ahead and spend the money. Independ mechanic I talked to, told me to stick with the factory air box on the 996 as it is plenty sufficient.

POST 3Original post

I am considering a CAI just because every time i need to do any work to the car, the first thing you must do is remove the intake box. J/K - This car will remain completely stock. I have other cars to mess with when I get the mod bug

POST 4Original post

You're mainly paying the $900 extra on the cf art sculpture. I do like how it looks but not $1k like.
