I have great opportunity to buy 40th anniv. 996 at fantastic discount. But no one can tell me with any accuracy how many of the 1963 are slated for NA. Does anyone know my time is running out on this deal. I guessing about half coming here?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How much of a discount?
I'd guess that there will be one for every dealership in North America. Just a theory... I suppose it depends on orders which, of course, will depend on 911 buyers going for a cosmetic package that retails for the same as a C4S. When you consider that none of the earlier special editions (ie: Millenium Edition, Ferry Porsche Edition, Martini Edition) command much of a premium at resale, paying through the nose for one new makes little sense. Just my two cents...
Dick Vermeil's wife bought him the one at our local dealership and gave it to him as a present this past week. Now perhaps someone will give Greg Robinson (defensive coordinator) a sword to fall on...
