Hey guys, I drove to work this morning and everything was fine. Left the car with the parking attendant who likes to move my car around a dozen times a day for no reason. I got into my car after work and the clutch was slipping badly. I took the car to an Indy and he says the clutch is finished. He didnt look at anything, he just got in and tried to move the car a few inches in a few different gears in his garage and said "Yep the clutch is gone." He wants $1300 CDN to change it. Now how do I know its not something else, like the lines need bleeding, or the master or slave cylinder? The car is with him and he will be doing the job tomorrow at some point, so before he gets started is there somethign i should check or ask him? Thanks for the help. Ayaz

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

its pretty easy to tell by feel just trying to move the car, thers not really much to check. It will be obvious once the trans is out hope fully its an honest shop who if they find that the .000001% chance its not the clutch they will tell you and nor just throw a clutch in it
If the attendant burned up the clutch you would have smelled it when you picked up the car.
At least you're getting a good price for the clutch.
