Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Driving home last night, raining, up the Don Valley Parkway (twisty section of 8 lane highway in Toronto) at a spirited 140(km) and my headlights go out. Luckily, enough people around me to see whats going on. Pull to the right and they come back on. Did it again about 3 minutes later and I realize its not just my headlights, its all lights. I searched on here and it seems there is a fairly high propensity for the switches to crap out. I haven't tried messing with it yet, but wanted to know if this truly is a common occurrence - because it was certainly a safety issue. I'm (long) out of warranty - should I just spend the money and replace or attempt something with PCNA?

POST 3Original post

I have trouble with my rear lights going out sometimes. Every time I stopped to fix them, I can make it repeat the problem. Turn signals work fine as does the LCD strip. Haven't had the headlights go out.

If it was the ignition switch, would it only affect the lights? Stereo didn't go out, nor did my wipers.
