Hi Guys, I must apologize for the quality - I showed up right at the end and snapped a few. I learned quite a bit about my new camera in the process; mainly, that once clicking the shot button, one needs to wait a few seconds until the camera decides it actually wants to take the picture. Also: man I have a lame zoom. Maybe a digital SLR is in my future. Hopefully this explains the photos of just asphalt+cones April 2006 Potomac Autocross Pics I'd love to participate next time, as well as meet a few folks. I definitely saw jsa's white cab, and thought it looked great! Who's the wiseass with the "986" Jeep Cherokee? Last but not least, is anyone interested in a Saturday brunch at Fair Oaks this weekend? It was a lot of fun when we had one a few weeks ago, under the guise of exhaust testing. Very nice turnout! -Justin

If you're not into photography, you may not want to deal with a dSLR. dSLR's involve more post-processing and are a big PITA to people who aren't into photography. I use them, but for people who just want something fun and portable (not sure this is you, but since most people are I think it might be a safe guess) I recommend just looking at some of the newest offerings in digital point and shoots. GREAT strides have been made in just the past 18 months. Oh, and you might want to wait until Photokina in October before buying any new photo equipment.
Justin, thanks for posting the pics. I wish I could meet up this weekend but to much stuff going on. Hope to see you at the next Potomac AutoX which is 5-21. There is a group of us that usualy meets up in the morning and caravans over. I'll post it when/if we do it again.
