EDIT: JUST SEE POST #4 I searched for about 10 min and I can't find a thread about replacing them. Many threads about bad ones... My fan is totally dead. Checked for power right at the fan connection and it has power but no mojo. (yes both High and low speed) Who has done this and can you give me a few tips?? I cant even find it in my WSM. I have the front bumper cover off I have the radiator cover off I have the wheel well out. My questions: Do I need to drain the system to pull the rad enough to get to the fan? Im having a heck of a time figuring out how to pull the rad it self. I have the AC unit out and hanging. So I need to take out the entire bracket the radiator is mounted in? Thanks In advance Kyle

It's been a while, but I recall the job being fairly easy. You don't need to drain anything. You do remove the bracket and I'm pretty sure I pulled the bracket with the fan attached. You remove it through the wheel well. Let me know if you get stuck. -shawn

I just got done. On the 99/996 C2 you will have to drain that radiator. It is drained by taking off the front lower hose of the side you are working on.. The entire unit comes out as one piece (the fan and the rad) I quick run down Remove head lights remove bumper cover remove air dam unbolt and move air conditioner thingy out of the way remove wheel remove wheel well liner remove nut holding bracket to car (backside of rad) Remove two bolts from bottom of car that hold on the bracket Remove retaining clips that hold rad to bracket Jiggle rad out away from car enough to get off bottom hose remove hose allow to drain (about a gallon) Remove top hose and small vent hose. Remove rad separate the rad from the fan unit
