Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just got done with the coolant pipe fix on my 996 turbo and am in the final stages of getting everything back together. Unfortunately I've come up against an issue I wasn't expecting in an extra connector near the throttle body that I cannot seem to find a home for. Everything else has it's place but I somehow missed this one in my haste. Picture below shows the connection in question in the loom that attaches to the oil pressure sender and has connections for the boost pressure sensor, oil filter housing, and throttle body. I've been digging on line for an hour or so and can't find a good image to help. If anyone could help me find a home for this you will save my Sunday!!

POST 2Original post

MAF??? Take this with a grain of salt cuz I'm not a turbo guy.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maf is on a different loom way over to the drivers side on the turbo. Thx for the bump and idea though Cheers, --GC

POST 5Original post

Don't know about the turbos but on an NA, that connector is for the evap regen valve above the alternator.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
