Hi! Need some help on wheel/tyre fitment on my 996 C4 2002 Tried reading upon the issue I have and can't seem to find a good (the right) solution. I bought the car only a few weeks back and it came with some cup rims with studded tires. They looked rather tired with paint peeling off, and the noise from the studs isn't all that nice.. So yesterday I came across some 18" Carrera III wheels with winter tiers close by my town and decided to change out the old ones. After a quick google search I came to the conclusion that there wasn't going to be any trouble with the fitment. Now it turns out the back tyres are poking out around 1,5cm.(just above 1/2inch) The wheels measures 11x18. ET51 and tyre is 295. It seems like some people make these fit just okay, but as my car sits right now there is clearly somthing not quite right. The car sits on stock suspension, I have no clue about any camber.. I guess messing about with either one of these options is my only way to get the tires back inside? Any suggestions are very welcome!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If your car is not a 4S, it is a narrow body. I have a set of GT3 wheels for my narrow body that are 18x11. The offset is 63 as I recall. The offset on yours is for a 4S or Turbo that has wider fenders.
Yes you have purchased wide body offsets. Minimum of high 50mm to mid 60 offset is needed. Adding camber will increase tire wear drastically.
