A couple questions about bore scoping: For those that have had it done by a shop, what did they charge you? I recognize that if it was done as part of a PPI or other service, it might be hard to quantify the cost of the bore scope itself, but curious as to cost of having a quality indy do a bore scope, from below. For a '99 MT, do I need to remove anything other than the oil sump to get good camera access to all six cylinders, and turn crankshaft for successive TDC's? I've seen a few posts talking about additional steps necessary to get good access from below, but I recall that was in the case of later model years. Anyone have a favorite [Amazon] link to a camera they particularly like? I am Android-phone-based, and seeing the live image on that phone while underneath would be ideal, but Windows-laptop-based can also work. Thanks.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
