Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not to be a style cop or Porsche **** but I really don't see the logic here. I'm pretty sure this is the most stretched and cambered out 996 I've seen to date. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...US_Cars_Trucks And I wonder if Kevin Choi is in any way related to Ben.

POST 2Original post

Some like stance, some garage-queen their cars, some swap motors. Different strokes for different folks.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 11453679

I agree but I wonder how many people are willing to pay $59k for "stance" utilizing some generic "Yellow" coilovers. This is where my logic breaks down.

POST 4Original post

Price-wise he is over the top, no argument there from me. As far as styling goes, it is a show-car and he is trying to sell it as one IMO. His main customer here is tuner/promoter of customs or someone who wants a mobile advertising vehicle.

POST 5Original post

Dyu think he got the asking price mixed up with the mileage????? I don't suppose anyone is asking me but IMHO the car screams 'more money than sense' owner. Lost all of the Porsche CLASS.

POST 6Original post

The rear wing and wheels are meh. Lug bolts on front and rear wheels do not match, so clearly the owner has no pride and I shall pass on this abomination.

Wow, that's a name out of the past...Ben Choi!

POST 8Original post

If you look at pic #5 in the ad, you can see the dirt from the gravel road has accumulated only on the INBOARD surface of the tire. The crazy camber is a great way to keep the outside edges of your tires clean!

POST 9Original post

For $60K, you think they could hit the rotor hats with a rattle can.

POST 10Original post

That car looked a lot better before he went full retard on it. The wheels never fit, though. They're widebody wheels.

POST 11Original post

Besides the over aggressive wheels I do like the car before he "went full retard."

POST 12Original post

Actually, not horrible. I like the stance, the wing and the color wrap is not my taste but looks well done. Now, the price. WTF?

POST 13Original post

I actually like the car a lot, pretty sharp and like the aggressive look...that stance though WTF that is ugly, even before going "full retard" the stance was too much, a set of 18' without the crazy camber and that would be a good looking car.

POST 15Original post

Quotes source post: 11454658

Agreed. I don't like the color he chose for the repaint, but the car would look pretty darn good with wheels that actually fit and proper alignment settings.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 11454838

Agreed x2. Sad thing is I see teens doing this crap all the time around here because they "seen it" on the net and think it's not only cool but perfectly ok to do on their daily drivers. They eventually end up learning that the fine print says: "not recommended for public daily street use and show car use only..." I mean those teens drive low powered FWD Honda's. To have it on a Porsche though that is known to be an actual "performance" car seems more degrading IMO. Anywho, good luck to original seller as he just narrowed his buying pool and demographics quite a bit and would need a particular type of buyer to not only express interest but to be able to afford it.

POST 17Original post

I'm not sure I agree with the seller's claim that the car hasn't been abused. That car has been abused. It's ridiculous. It looks like a clown car.

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 11454921

Oh, sorry. I was thinking clown FISH car.

POST 19Original post

If he's going to go crazy negative camber, he should do it right, like this: .

POST 22Original post

Not my thing. I think it's amazing what some people do to their cars...oni camber fascinates me for some reason...but I'd never do it. To each their own. And that color...matte reddish brown? Yeah...not feeling it. -Eric

POST 23Original post

Quotes source post: 11454523

I agree, though IMO he's only at about 3/4 retard. He could probably fugly it up some more if he put his mind to it. What's German for "hooptie?" Even at 75% on the retard meter, I'd rather be caught driving a Prius than this thing. At least I could tell everyone the Prius was my wife's, or a loaner. You get spotted behind the wheel of this heap, you've got no excuse.

POST 25Original post

I'll say it, and it saddens me to but...."that **** is hella riced out!"

POST 26Original post

For me the only issue is the wheel abuse, I quite like the matt bronze paint job and even my profound dislike of aero kits does rise to the surface with this car.

POST 27Original post

I don't like to see anything saying GT3 on a non GT3. That being said I wish I had the hp / speed to warrant a wing like that!

POST 28Original post

I think his rear wheels may actually be toed out. If so, that thing would be a handful.

POST 29Original post

I taste a little vomit in the back of my throat....

POST 30Original post

http://lakecity.craigslist.org/cto/4527217684.html Had to share this one. If it runs that's not a bad price even with the...accessories. "Special Edition Chairs Navegation Bluetooth Dvd Player Cap Holder Aluminio bezel turbo porsche tires" I am especially curious about the turbo tires and special edition chairs. I'm assuming the cap holder holds flat-brimmed ball caps.

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 11466318

Judging by the spelling and grammar, I'm willing to bet the cap holder holds flat-brimmed sombreros, or maybe ushankas.

POST 33Original post

Quotes source post: 11466318

Judging by the shot of the inside of the door jamb, I'd say it's a silver car, and the tacky exterior is just a wrap. Probably reversible. Might not be a terrible car, If you like the interior. Just sayin.
