Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://www.shopdealerparts.com/ Anyone ever order from them. They seem to have this one part I need for $100 cheaper than anyone else, but I am not sure if its worth trusting this site.

POST 2Original post

https://gaudin.porschedealer.com They are a Porsche (and other brands) dealer.

POST 3Original post

What makes you think because they offer something $100 less then another dealer, that there may be something wrong???????? I would think just the opposite and buy from them especially if it is an OEM part. The problem with some sites is, they think because we are 'Porsche owners', we should pay 'top dollar' for parts. The typical one being a well known Porsche Parts site charging $300 for mesh grills over the front air intakes which actually cost me $5 (Yes $5) to reproduce. Some sites **** me off. Buy from the cheapest in your case. Thats OIMHO... BTW let us know where you buy and how it turns out.

POST 4Original post

Makes sense to be cautious. I usually go to the "contact us" tab and see what pops up. In this case its http://www.shopdealerparts.com/porsc...uar/contact-us

POST 5Original post

In my opinion, that would depend on the total cost of the part. $100 on a $1000.00 part? Sure...maybe even on a $500.00 part. Any more than a 20% differential and I start to get suspicious...just remember the old saying "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is"...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am very cautious when it comes to sites that do not have much online presence. The part is ~800 from sun-coast, even more from any other Porsche site/dealer, and less than $700 from this site. I would feel a lot safer ordering from them if someone else has ordered from them and has a positive experience. Thanks. Just placed the order and will update on how it goes. Saved $120 if all goes well. It is a Porsche part. 996-606-124-95

Part was just delivered. It's genuine and new. This site will be kept in mind when searching for replacement parts.
