Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My clutch fluid line has had a puncture on my 04 996. Does anyone know the proper way to disconnect this connector? The blue line.

POST 2Original post

Two wrenches, one on each hex section, righty tighty, lefty loosey.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Doug I had heard something about it being some sort of quick connect joint. Just wanted to be sure. David

POST 4Original post

David - You are a man after my own heart. Wish I had a 928 to go with my 996. I really loved both of the 928's I had. And they were the older 4.5's. would love to have a later year one. Porsche uses that style of connectors for several fluid lines including the power steering lines in the engine compartment. Careful as the brass is pretty soft and the hex areas acan strip.
