Looks like that excellent Jake's "Bore scoring" series has been removed from Youtube so now the question is.... How to borescope that 6th cylinder from the sump? I know it requires some skills and patience but I would like to get a peek how that looks since there's this knocking sound coming from that area (listened with a mech. stethoscope).

Hey boss, I just did this. This will take some patience. I started with 5, then I slowly turned the crank until I was able to get the endoscope into 6. You will need a 5mm scope or smaller. I kept using a small light and looking into the area where I knew the cylinder was and where I wanted to place the camera. Ultimately, if you have a really fancy GE borescope with a 3mm whip then you can see anything you want. With the $30 Nidage unit i had it took some time. Good luck!

Ah - great, thanks - joined.. ah, let's hope that 5.5mm will fit (?) I have this one: Amazon Amazon
Eh, of course that doesn't have that 90 degree angle - would this one work better or is the secondary lens too far from the tip ? Amazon Amazon ps. I did experiment with that Ilihome even though it's missing that 90 angle lens. well, that led to some frustration regardless of patience I felt like I was not getting anywhere regardless where I was going. It even got stuck at some point. Well, I guess more practice is needed. I really hope that someone would take a recording of that - it would help a lot because otherwise it's like navigating blindly... that scenery looked a bit like the ending of that ID4 movie when heroes were within that alien ship...

We're going to be releasing a more detailed video on borescoping from sump in the next few weeks on Rennvision. Stay tuned!
One more question - in general do those dual lens endoscopes work or is the one with 90degree lens as an attachment a better option?
