Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, Just wanted to introduce myself as a new to me owner of an 02 C2. Last time I owned a 911 was back in 1970 when I purchased a 1967(Gah, am I really that old) Anyway, did lots of research here on the forum prior to my purchase, which I am thankful to all you helpful folks . Purchased the car and had the IMS bearing, RMS, clutch, and water pump replaced, and feel comfortable driving her. Again, just wanted to say thank you all again.

POST 2Original post

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the warm welcome , and compliments guys. As to being too old to drive a Porsche , ask the guys who chase me in the canyons when we do an Esprit run Alan

POST 10Original post

Sweet looking cab. Bet the MY 02 drives a bit differently than your '67 911.

POST 12Original post

That is an alright looking car, my friend. Congrats and welcome to the club R

POST 15Original post

I bet you are glad to be back in the seat. I also bought my first 911 in 1970, A 1966 and then in 1971 bought a 1969 911E Targa. In 1973 I sold both and got married. After raising 5 kids and only driving German cars, in 2007 picked up my '03 Targa after searching for the right Targa for 1 year. I remember exactly how my previous 911's felt to drive as soon as I was behind the wheel again and now feel just as young as I did then! Enjoy John '03 Targa

Thanks for all the kind words. I appreciate it. The 67 was a fun car. Mulholland hwy always beckoned , although that year did leave a few things to be desired. A working defroster being first on the list. The 996 is a whole new ballgame , and I'm enjoying the he** out of it. Alan

POST 18Original post

45 years between 911's is a LONG time. I started looking back in 1970 (I was 16) and had 3 944's over the years but didn't pull the trigger on a 911 to 2 years ago.

Guess I'm about 5 years older than you in that case. I was 21 when I purchased that first 911. It feels great to be back. Alan
