Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been looking around for the lightest OEM wheels. At the moment I have the 18" turbo twist and the wheel weight is 22.1kg at front and 25kg at the rear. After searching I found that going for the 10 spoke 996 17" with 225/45R17 in front and 255/40R17 at the rear would shave close to 4kg per wheel. Would like to hear from someone who is already running this what you think?

i just bought (from a fellow rennlister) this exact wheel for my 2001 c4 for these reasons and I like this style. 205-50 is what Tire Rack states as their spec for the fronts. So that differs a bit from what you have listed but I dont have any expertise as to whether that difference matters to the differentials.

Should not as both are 25" diameter.
