Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The plan is to leave Fl. West coast , T Springs , on Sun. 29th and head N , via I 95 . Do DC and NYC in the middle of the day to avoid rush hours. Get off I 95 by the time we get to Brunswick , Me, and take Hwy 1 via Camden etc , as suggested by some, head to NS , and drive the Cabot Trail , camping in the Parks , between , Motel nights, head to Quebec, and if time allows , Montreal , and home, have 15 days to complete this super journey with the 996 C 4, If it all works out !! I posted on the Canadian rennlist a few weeks ago. Any other suggestions would be appreciated , thanks in advance ,

Camden is beautiful. Be sure to check out some of the down town restaraunts if you like lobster. Cant get any fresher. Enjoy and get plenty of pictures this sounds like an awesome trip

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you Thank you , we shall try and have as much as fun as pos. and take as many pics as pos. its only that Iam not able to I like Lobster , just hate the way they kill them , in hot water in most places. Camping in Cobscook Bay State Park , could be a good idea. We also thought of the other park Acadia Nat. Park, for camping. Is that a nice place ? Look nice by how its located by the Atlantic. Just hope it doesn't get too cold at night !!

I love road trip, and yours is going to be awesome. Please post pics and details, as we are planning pretty much the same trip from West Palm all the way up to NS etc in 2016. We're taking our C4S too!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

KOOL , I would like to post pics , but the forum will not allow any more pics to be posted , don't know why ?? that has been going on for some time, since I posted pics last July of the new to me 2001 C4.

Not the kind of advice you were soliciting, but I would suggest chucking a radial tire patch kit and a 12-volt inflator in with the rest of your toolkit. Getting a puncture on a Sunday or in the middle of nowhere can suck on a road trip. What an awesome trip to take with a 996 - the car really is comfortable enough to use as a GT.

We did something similar last fall only our starting point was Montreal and we did a great big loop around the Maritime provinces covering about 3000 kilometres in 2 weeks. It is just beautiful driving and great activities, bed and breakfasts and great food along the way. We took our '99 Cab and our friends followed in their Jag XK-R. You may never want to go home! Pete

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the suggestions , actually I do have an inflator and recently bought the patches kit (: Some one has said to me , just that, that after we see NS , that we will want to stay there ! (: But we have so much to come back to !!

I lived in Canada for most of my life. Beautiful country, great people, great cultural diversity. You may be tempted to stay in NS until perhaps October, then you realize the average snowfall across parts of Nova Scotia is between 61 and 154 inches. At that point you would likely want to head back Enjoy your trip. It's going to be fantastic!

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

WOW that is a LOT of snow indeed (: Ezkill where do uyou live now ?

POST 13Original post

Los Angeles now, Santa Monica more specifically.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is a nice part of the country, I love California . I lived in the S Fernando Valley and Venice Bch, many many years ago.

Hope I am not "biting more than what I can chew" regarding this extended road trip to Canada , NS furthest point, then Quebec and Montreal , before returning and camping between Motels, and only 15 days to do it in . Well I guess we can always shorten the drive if need.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well we are home a bit earlier than planned. Rest from the trip. 1st reason Arthur , second my left knee, 3rd, very frustrated with drivers on the interstate, they really have NO clue on how to drive on them !!! In Canada it was a bit better. NO common sense with drivers in this country, and its getting worse !! . Have lived in the USA most of my life Just some adjectives describing the morons on the road !! selfish , egotistical, idiots, and NO COMMON SENSE !! The left lane was most of the time built up with a "train" of 7 to 12 cars, blind leading the blind . doing the speed limit at the most, with no one in front or next to, forced me to spend most of the time passing on the R, among the RV's and truck, and the slower traffic. Blinking the H lamps , was recognize by a hand full every 20 cars. Such wonderful roads we have , these people are not worthy to drive them. I have come to the conclusion that the German Interstate roads are the best driven the world !! maybe smarter drivers he ?? The 996 did wonderfully !!! Gas in Canada almost 7.00 $ a Gal. but 94 octane . Courteus drivers . I 95 very congested , lots of condtruction , and bumper to bumper driving, never again. Have done it glad we did. Next , year, maybe Yellowstone Park. and parts of cal, . For the time been , will participate on 4 day road trips , organized by the local , PCA regions in Fl. Next one to the Ga/ NC/Ten, mount. in Aug.

Trip around DC and NYC will be very heavy throughout the day during summer months. Only time to avoid delays is during wee hours of the morning and sometimes that's not true due to construction activity. Be sure to pack plenty of "patience" and enjoy your trip.
