Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1000 free parking spots and Mr. Jeep decides that next to my 996 is the perfect place to be... Do 911s in general have a factory magnet that instantly attracts others cars to park all around them? Is it serviceable like the IMSB?

POST 3Original post

Who doesnt want to park next to a beautiful looking 911!!! It is so true no matter how many spots there are someone will always park right next to you!

POST 4Original post

Sometimes people park next to you because they assume you wont smack their car when you enter or leave yours. Otherwise, they risk double the chance by leaving both sides open. Just a guess though

POST 5Original post

I agree, I think they know it's safe to park next to you. But I had Dodge Ram truck with a Ranch Hand bumper park with the bumper less than 3" from my rear wing the other day. Decided I'm going to park "wing-out" from now on. ...the factory installed magnet is inside both doors and just behind both bumpers.

POST 7Original post

Usually just a dick move. No real need for anyone to do that and it happens all the time.

POST 8Original post

Move the garbage containers next to his doors maybe it will sink in to stop being a penile membrane

POST 9Original post

Yes, always happened to me as well, by parking far away from others, we are clearly telling everyone that we do not want anyone next to us; and some people will do the exact opposite to annoy us; weird human nature, I guess... Cheers,

POST 10Original post

The magnetism is actually a warning sign that the IMS bearing is on its way out, ask me how I know.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hilarious quotes from all you folks! Lol. Next time, I'll reverse tactic and be the first to park closest to the crappiest car I can find....my theory is that they will immediately remove their clunker and rope off my neunelfer as if it were at the Porsche museum...I'll let you all know how that works out...lmao

POST 12Original post

There seem to be ten times the amount of posts where someone wants to know why a person would lark this way, so where are the actual people that do this? They should chime in. Im not one of them, but heres what I found online as to why people do this: 1.) Herd/pack mentality. If you park near other cars, it might be safer if getting robbed or jacked. 2.) It avoids the possibility of someone parking poorly next to you, leaving you with too little space to enter or exit your vehicle. If youve parked well, you have signaled that you are someone that can be parked next to. 3.) A nice car that has been well-parked is more likely to have an owner that wont ding your door.

POST 14Original post

My factory magnet must off while parked. Ive never had this problem. BUT while driving the magnet is working overtime to attract pickup trucks driving morons at every red light.

POST 15Original post

How dare he park that lowly cabriolet next to the black da Vinci let the air out of those tires LOL Mike

POST 16Original post

Sometimes you just have to activate the force field!

POST 17Original post

Always take the end space. It reduces the idiocracy factor by 50%. Unless you see a landscaping crew ready to cut the grass on those islands haha

POST 18Original post

I try to time driving to work and the landscapers. Those blowers scare the hell out of me.
