I�m taking the family up to race weekend at Mid-Ohio. Anyone have some tips for good locations fo watch the races? We have younger kids that�ll want to roll around and have some romping room between sessions. We aren�t camping, just bringing a half tent shelter and chairs. Well, that�s my intent, but no plan survives first contact with the enemy (reality).
Best view is from the tower...see if you can talk your way in . Its usually wide open on DE days but doubt that will apply this weekend. Not sure about viewing options on race days, but the most interesting stretch of the track is "Madness" which is a series of turns after the long back straight. Have fun!
Turn 2 the keyhole is a nice spot. You get to watch everyone come straight towards you, then drag race down the back straight. Turn 4 is cool, seeing everyone try to late brake each other into the esses. Those are probably my favorite spots.
