Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

2004 c4s cab The bonnet doesn't engage when you pull the button so I can't open it. The engine compartment opens. Has anybody else had this issue? Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

It probably is unlatched. Get your fingers under the front part of the hood and see if you can lift it up. If for some reason it is not working to release, you will have to locate the emergency release cable up under the right fender behind the wheel liner. It is a good idea once you have located the emergency release cable to re-route it to behind the big plastic plug on the front fender where the tow hook goes. For next time....

Try to have someone keep some pressure on the bonnet ~1" below the Porsche emblem and try again?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks I will try these suggestions

POST 5Original post

The hood latch is a common failure. I replaced mine a few years ago after having the same problem...pretty easy fix as far as Porsches go.
